HETMAN is an annual periodical published by Polish Militaria Collectors association in New York since February of 1991. Printed in limited edition 350 copies each. Our beloved ex-president Tadeusz Kwiatkowski produced the first three volumes. Volume four was written and published by Wojciech Budzynski. In May of 1993 Hetman magazine was published with new graphics and was designed by Mieczyslaw Rudek.
Many well-known authors from Poland also participated in this issue as did our club members. Each, unique volume is illustrated and contains original articles written exclusively for our magazine. Due to limited quantities volumes I thru IV have sold out. Volumes V and VI are still available and information on how to obtain them can be found on purchase form.
Due to an increasing interest with our publication by a non-polish speaking public we added an English summaries in our magazine. Most of articles published in Hetman magazine are written by collectors of Poloniaca found outside of Poland which gives us an opportunity to present rare collectors items linked with the history of Poland scattered around the world. One of our regular columns is titled “ Zaremba Portfolio – Z teki Zaremby” were articles written by our founding member Andrzej Zaremba can be found. Our other columns are:” History - Historia”, “Portfolio of documents and archives – Z teki archiwaliow”, “What’s that –Co to jest?”, “Letters and polemics –Listy I poleminki”, “Classifieds – Ogloszenia”. Section “Portfolio of documents and archives” contains unknown original documents from the private collections of our members.
