Thomas Jankun
Tomasz Jankun was born in 1950 in Gdansk. Antiques and side arms have been his hobbies for a very long time. To broaden his education in his favorite fields he studied at the fine arts department at the University im.Mikolaja Kopernika in Torun. In 1980 he is forced to sell most of his collection in order to immigrate to the United States. His first days in the States are spent visiting local antique shops and making contacts with collectors. He is one of the founding members of the Polish Militaria Collectors Association and since 1999 has served as the vice-president of the Club. He holds an honorary position with the “Nippon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai”, an exclusive society for collectors of Japanese side arms. He is also a member of: “The Association of American Sword Collectors”, “ The Arms & Armour Society” and “National Rifle Association”. His diversified collection consists of polish militaria and side arms, indo-persian sabers and Japanese swords and sabers. His favorite way to relax is to visit old castles, museums, and antique arms shows.
